Try your hand at painting this handsome Turkey and Acorns on a large 12"X18" Slate. You will learn to Basecoat, Float color to shade and highlight, Stipple and Wash color among other things.

~ Autumn in the Country ~

Intermediate Class - 1 Session
Paint a quiet autumn country scene on a wooden 5"X16" barrel stave with a leather hanger. We will stipple and scrub in color as well as traditional decorative painting. When finished, we will Antique the board to tone down the colors unless you prefer keeping your painting more vibrant. BRUSHES you need: 5/8"Angle; 1/2" Angle; #4Round; Liner and Small Stippler.

~ Zesty Zinnias ~

Zinnias in vibrant colors will be painted on either a squarish cutting board or a Mache box (first paid gets first choice). We will be using my dribbling technique of working wet on wet to highlight the petals. If time permits, who knows what little critter we might add? ~ Winter Holiday Clay Pots ~

Two 6" clay pots for the price of one will be painted for the holidays and both pots should be completed in one evening. One has a quick strokework poinsetta with berries and a crackle paint rim and the other has a jolly snowman.

~ Canning Flowers ~

Intermediate/Advanced Class - 2 sessions
Beautiful Echinacea (Cone Flowers) and Brown-Eyed Susans in an aqua-colored Atlas Canning Jar will be painted on a 5.5"X18" long wooden plaque with a leather hanger. We will use my wet on wet technique for the flowers and painting the aqua glass is an easy wash technique. Time permitting, we should be able to paint several water drops. I love this painting!!

Sweet Winter Holiday Birdie with a jaunty cap is painted on a 4"X8" Wooden Plaque. At the bottom of the plaque hangs a rusty metal satchel that can hold sweetes, card, napkins or whatever your imagination conjures up. A holiday message can be added if you like.

~ Snowmen Wreath ~

A whimsical piece of art to hang on your door or wall. Three musical snowmen singing and whistling will be framed by a 12" white-washed grapevine wreath that will be scattered with snowflakes. I smile everytime I look at it - hope you do, too!
