Beginner Oil (2nd Session): May 2010

Thanks to Steve Lubanovic another successful class, full of oil seascapes, was painted by students, some of  whom seemed a little surprised that they could accomplish this type of painting.  I must admit it’s quite remarkable to see a canvas go from blank to a wonderful seascape - but then, it could certainly be the mark of the talented instuctor. Great job by all … And Welcome to our new students!!

Beginner Oil (1st Session): May 2010

Steve once again led his students down the learning path to a wonderful Seascape painting. Different painting methods using different tools were taught to create the rocks and water (so that if one had a preference between painting with the knife or brush, it could be employed by the painter). As usual, it was a great learning experience for all.

Advanced Acrylic Class:  May 2010

This class was considered advanced due the faster pace that we painted. As you can see, the paintings were all quite beautifully splashed in bright, cheerful colors; and hopefully, our signs will soon be hanging in a happy place indoors or out.  Also, to those who weren’t sure as to what the hummingbird feeder was, my hope is that you’ll purchase and use one to see this lovely, little jewel of a bird…Kudos to everyone! (Sorry to the 3 gals who could not join us for the photo.)

Intermediate Oil Landscape: April 2010

The Serenity Falls Oil Landscape class was enjoyed by all, particularly by myself.  Hopefully, everyone learned at least one new method or technique and hopefully, everyone enjoyed a studious, yet relaxing time - and that’s what participating in classes is all about (at least for me - even dropping one’s palette upside down on the floor just isn’t a big deal). Looking forward to seeing you again for another class. Kudos to everyone for doing a very nice painting.
