~ A Light in the Forest ~

You may register for one of two classes for this project. Each class begins on a Monday and concludes the following Wednesday as indicated below.

1st Class:  Mon / Wed, Oct 17 & 19, 2011 (6-10 pm)
2nd Class: Mon / Wed, Oct 24 & 26, 2011 (6-10pm)
Beginner Class
Bob Ross Brushes / Supplies Needed: 1″ Flat (Landscape); OIL Script Liner; TWO - 1″ Foam Applicator Brushes; ACRYLIC Script Liner; Small or Large Palette Knife and Paper Towels
COST: $40

(Oil) 16×20″ Canvas Board. Guest Artist, Steve Lubanovic will instruct the step-by-step process to guide you in painting this charming  landscape showing rays of sunlight filtering through the trees along a pathway. A splatter bucket with cleaning turp and easel are provided for your use at the MGA studio. IF you like, you are welcome to bring your own Table-top easel to make traveling home easier with your finished painting.

~ Venetian Flower Box ~

 Monday, Oct 10, 2011 (6-10pm)
Beginner / Intermediate Class
Brushes / Supplies Needed: Paper Towels; 1″ Wash Brush; #6 & #8 Flats; Good Liner; Palette Knife and a Backing Board to hold your painting.
COST: $26

(Watercolor) Surface is Watercolor paper along with an 11×14″ Matte Board (8×10″opening). Guest Artist, Elaine Walker, will instruct this lovely painting of flower boxes under and over arched windows. Choose your own special address number to put over the doorway. Elaine will instruct a new technique using molding paste and masking medium which will be provided for you.
Very Charming!!!

~ Sunrise Before the Storm ~ 

 You may register for one of two classes for this project; each class will begin on a Monday and conclude the following Wednesday as indicated below.

Beginner/Intermediate Class
BobRoss Oil Brushes/Tools You Need: 1″ Flat Landscape; 2″ Flat Background; #3 Fan Blender; #2 Script Liner; #10 Small Painting Knife; Paper Towels for Clean-up. (Opt: extra 1” or 2” Flat brushes to limit your cleaning time between colors and blending.)
COST:  $40

(OIL) 16″ x 20″ prepared canvas board, paints, mediums, instructions and photo are included in the cost. Join Guest Artist, Steve Lubanovic, as he instructs the step-by-step painting process in creating this stunning oceanscape. A splatter-bucket, cleaning turp and table-top easel are provided for your use at the studio. 

~ Sunset at Moraine ~

Mon, April 25, 2011 (6-10pm)
Beginner/Intermediate Class
BRUSHES/Tools You Need:  1″Wash (or 3/4″ Wash); 1/2″ Angle, a good #05 Liner; #3 OR #4 Round brush; BackBoard/Tape and Paper Towels.
COST:  $21

(Watercolor) 11″ x 14″ prepared watercolor paper plus all watercolor paint, pattern, instructions and photo are included. Sailboats sailing at sunset at Moraine - what a lovely sight! Come join Guest Artist, Elaine Walker, as she walks us through this watercolor adventure!

~ Boy George Visits MorningGloryArt Studio ~

Much to our surprise, Boy George showed up at our Serenity Falls Class. Boy was kind enough to allow a photo to be snapped with the students, but no autographs were offered. We enjoyed this surprise visit from MGA guest instructor, Steve Lubanovic, who was costumed as Boy George for a contest he was about to participate in. Later, we found out he won second place for his singing ability. (Friend, AnjiB was his make-up artist.) Congratulations, Boy! …. and Thank You for stopping by!
