Guest Instructor - Steve Lubanovic
Steve Lubanovic is a self-taught artist. He has been drawing since childhood and attended the Tam O’Shanter art classes at the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, PA during grade school. Later, he worked at a silk-screen sportswear and graphic arts company as an artist and printer, and also has a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He continues to be sought out to create artistic designs for sportswear for various establishments in the Pittsburgh area. Steve has also designed a line of computer furniture for Haskell of Pittsburgh Inc., and is currently a foreman at PennDOT. Steve started painting using the ‘wet-on-wet’ technique in 1994 and does commissioned artwork on a variety of media including slate, saw blades and canvas. In 2008, Steve began teaching the ‘wet-on-wet’ technique at Marcia Brown’s MorningGloryArt art studio in Butler, Pennsylvania.

OIL BRUSHES Needed: Bob Ross 1″Landcape Flat; #10 Ross Painting Knife; Bob Ross Script Liner (Opt.: 2″ Ross Background Flat)
ACRYLIC BRUSHES Needed: Basecoating Brush or disposable Sponge Brush; Long Script Liner
COST: $35
Steve Lubanovic will be instructing us in painting a beautiful autumn landscape using oil over acrylic. He’ll use two evenings to instruct us, step by step, through the process of landscape painting in oil on a 16×20″ canvas board. We’ll create a beautiful painting of autumn-hued trees, sky, water, rocks and deer. All oil and acrylic paints, canvas board, cleaning turp, pattern, instructions and photo will be included. Splatter bucket and easel provided for your use at the studio.

He will use two days to take us step by step through the process of landscape painting on a 16×20″ canvas board using oils to create a beautiful painting of happy, little trees, sky and water.
