This delightful scene of a Common Yellowthroat came about as I was thinking about what companion painting could be done to coordinate with a previous oil painting that we’ve done (American Goldfinch). This particular bird nests in the field thickets behind our house. Choice of painting on board or book box. Technique: Oil painting for beginner.

!! Meet “S” !! Guest Artist Steve Lubanovic will be instructing us in painting a gorgeous landscape. He will use two days to take us step by step through the process of landscape painting on a 16×20″ canvas board using oils to create a beautiful painting of happy, little trees, sky and water. All oil paints, canvas board, cleaning turp with buckets, pattern and photo will be provided at this very low introductory price - Easels will be available for everyone to use …. I Can’t Wait!!

(entire length of painting is not shown) Painting is of fence, sky, large Peonies along with a melodious White-Throated Sparrow perched atop the fence and singing his sweet song - and yes, there’s an ant.
