Oh! Sweet Peony Class
This is one of those paintings that just makes a person happy! Beautiful Peonies were painted on slate along with a trilling White-throated Sparrow. I was so very impressed that every painting of the Sparrow was quite beautiful and precise. All were very lovely paintings!

Intermediate/Beginner OIL over Acrylic - April 2008
Purple Clematis Class
There was lots of interest in painting this most lovely Clematis which is found in my garden. Overlay of oil on an acrylic basecoat allowed the acryic painters to feel a little ’safer’ in their first endeavors with oils… I just know they’ll someday love working with oils as much as I do! Just look at the pride in their smiles! What beautiful paintings!!

Intermediate/Advanced Class - April 2008
Pottery Collection Class
This was a finely detailed painting of 11 different vessels that kept the painters quite busy for 3 evenings; but the results were quite dramatic.

Folk Art Rose Bowl Class
This was a fun class for everyone! We all enjoyed creating a design around the bowl first using a “Wash and Lift” method - Very easy, yet looks great! I believe everyone had an easy time creating the Folk Art style flowers and were very pleased with their final painting. They all looked just wonderful! Now the bowls just need filled with snacks, flowers, towels or whatever. It’s a great little piece!

Once the Pot is dry, we’ll quickly varnish. Then, if you want to purchase the soil and herbs, we’ll go to the back patio (weather permitting) to plant five different fragrant herbs and you can then use your aluminum or copper metal stakes for identification purposes. You can paint “H-E-R-B-S” on the side of the pot if you like. I’m looking forward to this class as it means that summer is really here!!
