~ Pretty Poinsettia Class ~
Beginner/Intermediate Class: November 2010
Our Poinsettias were quickly basecoated in Acrylic, then Oils were used to add dimension and also a richness of color. This technique will also make for a quicker drying time which can come in handy for gift-giving. I so enjoyed watching this class create their beautiful paintings… thank you for all your great questions and making it two very enjoyable evenings! (So Sorry to Jen for not being able to join us for the second class.)

~ Serenity Falls Oil Class ~
Intermediate Class: October 2010
Our second session of Serenity Falls was as successful as the Spring session. We talked about perspective and depth in the paintings; and although all paintings were the same in subject, each student’s personality made for the differences that they could call the painting their own. Thanks to everyone for a fun class and WELCOME to a new student, Viv!

~ Boy George Visits MorningGloryArt Studio ~
Much to our surprise, Boy George showed up at our Serenity Falls Class. Boy was kind enough to allow a photo to be snapped with the students, but no autographs were offered. We enjoyed this surprise visit from MGA guest instructor, Steve Lubanovic, who was costumed as Boy George for a contest he was about to participate in. Later, we found out he won second place for his singing ability. (Friend, AnjiB was his make-up artist.) Congratulations, Boy! …. and Thank You for stopping by!

~ Hollyhocks and Butterfly Class ~
Beginner/Intermediate Class: October 2010
Elaine Walker led us down the watercolor painting path to some LOVELY pink and white Hollyhocks… We also had a choice of butterflies to paint! Yours truly had a most delightful time painting with my painting friends and I thank Elaine for making it a very enjoyable evening for all of us… Looking forward to next season.

Proudly smiling is exactly the way it should be for these gals who completed their wonderful Dancing Santas. There was a lot of detail done on this piece - I was very impressed with everyone’s painting. Thanks to all for such a fun time! (So sorry to Jamie who couldn’t join us for the photo)
