The Owl and The Pussycat
This child’s stool was a donation to the Northern Tier Library in Wexford PA as a fund raiser. Artists in the surrounding area were asked to give their artistic rendition of a favorite book, poem, etc. The Owl and the Pussycat is an Edward Lear poem written in 1871. Following is an exerpt from the fanciful poem: And hand in hand, on the edge of the sand, They danced by the light of the moon, The moon, The moon, They danced by the light of the moon.

Sleepy Owl in a Tree
(2005 Painting Project)
This sleepy owl project on a 10″x13″ tray will be great for serving the Halloweeners that come knocking at your door! It will be done in plenty of time for Halloween, but because of the subject matter, could be displayed well before and even after the holiday. Our painting will feature creating sleepy eyes, washing color and some mixing of color. BRUSHES Needed: Angle Brushes (5/8″ and 1/2″); Liner (#1); (optional: Small filbert or flat or round).
